Sisi Cronin

Founder & Director, Sicily Publicity

I’ve spent my career helping films, filmmakers, talent and events find the audience they deserve. Good publicity is never just about making noise—it’s about knowing the story, understanding who needs to hear it, and creating the right moment for it to land. I founded Sicily Publicity to give independent projects the kind of focused, connected and creative support that is too often reserved for the biggest releases.

From Revolver to New York

  1. Revolver Entertainment

I started at Revolver Entertainment, then one of the UK’s leading independent film distributors, as an intern, and moved into leading creative publicity campaigns across theatrical and home-entertainment releases.
  2. 2011

When Revolver closed in 2011, I moved to Berlin and began freelancing with new distribution labels and independent releases. Working directly with smaller teams showed me how much can be achieved when the strategy is clear, the materials are right and everyone involved understands the audience from the start.
  3. 2013

I founded Sicily Publicity in 2013.
  4. New York

I later brought the company to New York. Since then, I’ve worked across film, documentary, music, talent and events, combining a North American and international perspective with the practical experience of getting campaigns over the line.

Make the right people care · A Sicily Publicity film

A silent 30-second film. Sicily Publicity presents. A storm of words like buzz, hype and trending falls away to the line “Not noise.” Who needs to hear it: lines connect the story to critics, editors, festivals, photographers, talent and distributors. The route: UK and Revolver Entertainment, Berlin in 2011, Sicily Publicity established in 2013, New York today. The right moment: camera flashes across a step-and-repeat wall. A counter rises to 102 publicity credits since 2010 as film titles roll. Sisi's signature, and “Make the right people care.”

Why boutique

I prefer a boutique model because the work is personal.

When you hire Sicily Publicity, you work directly with me—not a junior account manager handed a template before they know your film, your story or what is at stake for you.

I bring the strategic thinking early, then stay close to the details: the positioning, trailer and artwork conversation, the press materials, the critics, the right partners, the screenings, the talent, the premiere and the audience response. The best campaigns are built around the individual project, not copied from the last one.

Over the years, I’ve built relationships across critics, editors, photographers, festivals, talent teams, distributors and industry partners in North America and internationally. That network matters, but so does knowing when to be resourceful: high-profile results are possible without an unlimited budget when the story is strong and the plan is smart.
